Living a Dream at Puente Romano, Marbella
Updated: Jul 14
First time in Spain, I decided to stay at the Puente Romano Beach Resort located in Marbella.
This is not a small resort but after a day or so, it is easy to get one’s bearings.
The resort is made up of the Hotel (which has 188 rooms, the smallest of which is a junior suite, which gives you an idea of dimension)
The hotel grounds are lovely and this is the place to come for some peace and quiet.
Honestly, this resort is one of the best I’ve experienced so far ! Probably in my Top 3 !
Let's start with the course !
When you stay in this resort, you have access to one of the best course around! Marbella Club Golf Course, located in Benahavís.
This course is definitely a great place to make great content and special trickshots !
Here is the first one !
The course is complemented by carefully contoured fairways, beautiful water cascades, lakes and strategically placed bunkers as well as undulating greens, protected and maintained in perfect condition. Marbella Club Resort is a private course, thus only allow limited greenfee players, great course to play during high season.
As you can see this course is also very hilly. A Buggy is a must. Course is usually not very busy. Course difficulty comes from the number of blind shots and the slopes on the Greens. All in all a great day out.
The Marbella Club Golf Resort is just 20 minutes away from Puente Romano by shuttle. With limited play and twelve minutes between tee times.
Required handicaps: Ladies 36, Gentleman 28
Opening times: Tee times start at 08:30 – 15:00 (summer) and 14:30 (winter)
Puente Romano Hotel
History First launched in 1979, the Puente Romano is one of Marbella's original luxury properties.
The Puente Romano extends through gorgeous gardens right down to the beach on Marbella's Golden Mile.
Its flawless service, sparkling beachfront position, Andalucian-village design and outstanding gastronomic line-up – Michelin stars included – keep it lively, current and immensely desirable.
I stayed in the junior suite where I could make some of my favorite indoor trickshots.
My sea-facing Suite V31 had a stylish Mediterranean feel, with turquoise bedding, vases of lilies, floral wall prints, and Roman-inspired tiling in the marble bathroom with separate bath and shower.
Puente Romano Beach Resort in Andalucía has unveiled a new state-of-the-art gym with bespoke biomechanical analysis which studies how the body moves along with results-driven personal training programs created by world-class sports champions like Mario.
I had the chance to train here with Mario Simón García, a specialist in biomechanics, Kungfu, Taichi, Qigong, and Taoist Meditation and have access to the 648sqm facility,
There is also a sauna and steam area to relax and unwind following your workout.
Stayed here beginning of October and it was AMAZING !
Spacious and beautiful room with lovely bathroom. The staff was super friendly and helpful at all times. Plenty of restaurants nearby with amazing food as well!
The Golf Course is stunning and views are the greatest ! You can’t beat this wonderful atmosphere ! I will definitely come back !
